New Aquacer 562 from BYK Additives

BYK AQUACER 562 is a new wax additive based on beeswax that improves the surface properties of aqueous paper coatings, care products and polishes.

In paper coatings, it enhances surface protection and functional barrier properties - such as liquid and water vapour resistance, grease resistance, or reduced oxygen transmission.

When used in care products and polishes, it covers minor scratches and restores the colour of the surface - the low melting point of beeswax makes it possible to polish using a soft cloth without mechanical tools. The additive can be mixed with other wax emulsions (e.g., carnauba wax) to optimize the properties.
