The latest addition to Eckart’s STAPA range of effect pigments stands out for its very bright, smooth silver metallic effect and high tinting strength.
STAPA® WM Chromal IX/80 is a new effect pigment from our principal, Eckart, launched to combine the benefits of both cornflake and silver dollar pigments. Its shape and opacity are typical for a cornflake, but its brilliance is closer to a silver dollar. It brings a homogeneous effect to film applications and a structureless surface to mass-tinted plastic parts as a result of its small particle size.
The pigment is ideal for film applications requiring high gloss with high coverage. It is a an excellent alternative to metalised foils and can be used for BOPP films and car wrapping foils, as well as in packaging applications, reflective silver parts and more.
STAPA® WM Chromal IX/80 offers the following benefits:
The product is recommended for plastics applications such as extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding, blown film or cast film extrusion. STAPA® WM Chromal IX/80 is suitable for polyolefins like LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PP, and also for engineering resins.
This pigment is offered in a user-friendly preparation form. It is solvent free, odourless and easy to disperse in polyolefins and many polymer systems.
