BYK-1788

VOC- and silicone-free polymer defoamer for solvent-borne, high-solid, and solvent-free systems. Particularly suitable for 100 % UV systems. Broadly compatible defoamer, particularly recommended for clear coat systems and thermosets. BYK-1788 is an emission-free polymer defoamer that is especially suitable for 100% UV systems as well as high-solid and solvent-free systems based on polyurethanes or unsaturated polyesters. The additive is particularly recommended for clear coat systems without having a negative impact on surface properties, gloss or transparency. BYK-1788 combines broad compatibility with an effective defoaming action and can be used both in the millbase and in the letdown product. It contains 100% solids and is VOC-free which predestines it for use in 100% UV systems for the wood and furniture coatings industry.
