Castor Oil, BP, EP, USP

Castor Oil is a pale yellow liquid extracted from castor seeds. It is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant that has been used for centuries for its therapeutic and medicinal benefits. Most of the benefits of castor oil are believed to derive from its high concentration of unsaturated fatty acids.  It is an excipient or additive in many modern drugs. It is one of the most highly unsaturated vegetable oils and is highly emollient used to bind ingredients in cosmetic and soap formulas. It acts as a humectant with soothing and emollient actions.
