Ethyl Acetate

Ethyl acetate is an important downstream product of bio-ethanol and acetic acid. Jubilant, which is among the world’s top 10 largest manufacturers, uses the more environmentally-friendly bio-based ethanol instead of petrochemical feedstock. Ethyl acetate is used as an extraction solvent in the production of pharmaceuticals. Among organic solvents it is regarded as being one of those with the least environmental impact. It is both highly effective and at the same time easily broken down in air and water.
