Petrolad 7000E

Petrolad 7000E is a gelled calcium sulphonate corrosion preventive formulating base compound that offers the potential for formulation of high solids, corrosion preventive compounds with excellent protection. Compared to the old Petrolad 7000, the Petrolad 7000E has a higher % non-volatile by weight, and a higher density. Petrolad 7000E is a dispersion of modified calcium sulphonate in mineral spirits. Petrolad 7000E does not form continuous protective films on its own and must be used with ingredients such as refined and unrefined waxes, asphalts, resins, oils, petrolatums and oxidized petrolatums or other ingredients. Petrolad 7000E offers reduced thixotropy to allow the formulation of coatings with higher solids and reduced VOC. Film characteristics can vary from oily to waxy or resinous.
