Platalax

Platalax is Eckart’s new generation of effect pigments for decorative plastics applications.

The extraordinary sparkle combined with a coloured shade leads to pronounced glitter effects in pure colours or in combination with transparent colour pigments and dyes.

Platalax pigments are ideally suited for high-value applications like cosmetics packaging and luxury consumer goods as well as for high-quality artificial leather, fashion and lifestyle products. The impressive and elegant sparkle of Platalax originates from the silver-coated glass substrate.

Platalax provides additional options for designing amazing colour effects which are even more spectacular in transparent plastics like polyester or clarified-PP.

Platalax is compatible with all standard polymers such as polyolefins (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP and PP-copo) as well as engineering plastics like PET, PS/SAN, PC/ABS, PA, etc. Its excellent temperature stability of more than 300°C makes Platalax a unique and highly attractive product.
