Tertiary Butanol (azeotrope)

Tertiary-Butanol (azeotrope) is used as an intermediate for the production of other chemicals and as a solubiliser in various products. It is a low molecular weight, highly flammable liquid which solidifies below 25°C. Due to its good dissolving properties and solubility in polar and non-polar substances, it is used as a solvent and as a solubiliser, but its main use is as intermediate within the production of high volume chemicals.
